Face book and MySpace are more common used by young people, but important companies in the world are using these new methods as advertising tools trying to increase the audience. But these methods not always get the expected results. Is the case of VIRGIN ATLANTIC and BRITISH ARWAYS.

Both companies have realized that employees were using Face book and MySpace to make fun of the costumers, joking about the planes of their own company and their safety standards, etc. In addition they were posting online information about the company that is not allowed. This demonstrates that the companies haven’t done enough to show the rules to their staffs.

In conclusion, with these new methods the image of those companies have been damaged instead of having the expected results: increase sales, benefit the company´s image, etc.
